About this Event

Feeling, Seeing, and Adjusting: Using Memory as a Tool for Composition.
with James Gnam + Natalie LeFebvre Gnam
Thursday, November 20, 6:00pm-8:00pm
SKAM Studio 846 (846 Broughton St)
$20

About the workshop:

The workshop uses directed improvisations to explore feeling and memory. Solo work considers embodiment—how we reach, fall, and play with gravity. With partners, we practice seeing and being seen, shaping choices as we compose from desire. We'll listen softly and loudly, tell stories, do nothing, and assemble from found things.

About the facilitator:

Plastic Orchid Factory (James Gnam + Natalie LeFebvre Gnam) shares a practice grounded in curiosity, rigour, and relational exchange. By emphasizing improvisation, embodiment, and collaboration, we invite dancers to locate their own voices inside the work, and to view their practice as a space for both personal inquiry and collective transformation.
